G&E GETEC Group Completes Landmark EUR 3.1 billion Refinancing to Drive Growth Strategy and Customers’ Energy Transition

GETEC, a leading European provider of essential energy infrastructure solutions for communities and industries, has successfully concluded a EUR 3.1 billion refinancing. Thanks to the new financing package, GETEC’s reliable, tailor-made, fuelagnostic, and technology-independent solutions can help even more customers reach their energy transition and energy efficiency goals.
The new financing includes a common terms investment-grade platform with longer and diversified tenors, offering GETEC a flexible structure to support its expansion in both existing and new markets. The financing package has been provided by a diverse group of bank lenders and European and US institutional investors.

GETEC was advised on the refinancing by CIBC Capital Markets and DC Advisory (joint financial advisors), White & Case LLP (borrower legal), AFRY Management Consulting (commercial due diligence), Aon (insurance due diligence), Deloitte (financial and tax due diligence), DNV (technical and ESG due diligence), EY (tax structuring), and Milbank LLP (legal due diligence). The lenders were advised by Latham & Watkins LLP.
