Hydrogen is gaining momentum. The major advantages of green hydrogen production include minimal emissions and excellent storage and transportation capabilities. Currently, a nationwide hydrogen network is being developed in the Netherlands to connect the major industrial clusters. Producing hydrogen locally might be a viable option. Decentralized hydrogen production could also serve as an alternative if you are relatively distant from the required energy infrastructure or if the energy infrastructure is not readily available in the short term. We are conducting research on this option for you.

During the production of hydrogen, oxygen and heat are released. This can be utilized in wastewater treatment. GETEC can modify your wastewater treatment plant to incorporate this, resulting in your paper factory having its own closed water circuit. Additionally, it is also possible to produce green hydrogen by gasification (high-temperature fermentation) of biomass.
