Hydrogen as Energy
Hydrogen as Energy
Hydrogen is on the rise. The downside of this renewable energy carrier is that its production requires more energy than the hydrogen produced delivers. However, the major advantages of green hydrogen production are zero emissions and good storage and transportation possibilities. Currently, a nationwide hydrogen network is being built in the Netherlands, which by 2030 will connect all major industrial clusters. However, it is also possible to produce hydrogen yourself. This can be done, for example, by gasification (high-temperature fermentation) of biomass, resulting in green hydrogen.
